I *LURVE* Firefly (science fiction show long cancelled). They're showing a

like a fricking gong (and that's hard to do now-a-days)

Any other science fiction buffs here a fan of the show?

Firefly was without a doubt the BEST Sci-Fi on TV in the past 10 years

Stargate SG-1 was almost as good, but Firefly was better, IMHO. Every
single character, and their chemistry with each other, was just so
incredibly well developed.

I will NEVER understand why it was cancelled by Fox TV.

I was REALLY happy when the movie Serentity was released, to tie up the
loose end from Firefly.....but I wish Firefly had run for another 5 or
10 years.

Joss Whedon REALLY had a good idea with Firefly...and Fox killed it.

I think the best part about it was that it was believable. The technology,
guns, ship, etc. was a mixture of what we have today with just enough
"evolution" to be realistic. So instead of just enjoying the special
effects, the viewer got involved more with the characters and storylines.

EXCELLENT good point!

There were 'new' weapons, and lots of 'old' ones, out in the fringes.

I always wondered about ammunition....but you have to give Hollywood
SOMETHING, now and then.

Every time I think about Firefly, I get upset that it was cancelled.

There is SO LITTLE worth watch on TV these days...and a real TREASURE
like Firefly comes along, and Fox CANCELLED it.

Grrr! :-(

I can just about guarantee that any show I like, any food I like,
*anything* I like will almost immediately be canceled/taken off the
market. So I've gotten used to it over my lifetime - it comes along
with that little gray cloud that's been over my head my entire life.
Whatever I did in a past life it must have been really, really, really
bad (maybe I was Hitler or something?)
