OT A Sad, Sad Day for London & Music
Many (even her Merkin fans, me included) saw this coming. She was same
age as our own Texas-bred Janis: 27. Ditto J. Hendrix: 27. Killer lifestyle. http://news.yahoo.com/troubled-diva-...192027301.html |

Ditto Jim Morrison. Sherry |

LOTS of very successful, and very wealthy, entertainers manage to live reasonably normal lives. They are married, have children, and you never, ever hear much about them, in between movies, etc. She most likely would have killed herself with drugs, fame and money, or not. The only difference is, she made the news. Just another dead junkie. A talented junkie...but in the end, just a dead junkie. |

She likely would have been better off had she been less talented. |

Somewhere I have a copy of him doing the lead vocals on some of the tracks that McGuinn had to redo on Sweetheart of the Rodeo because of contractual (and perhaps personality) reasons. McGuinn did a good job but Parsons was haunting. |
