)T - Movies you can watch...
....over and over and over again and still love watching. "Dirty
Dancing" is on ABC's "Family" channel and I still clicked on it to watch. I *SO* miss Patrick Swayze. Yeah, this one has commercials in it and I could walk upstairs (not easily, though) and get the DVD to bring down and watch, but it's so much easier to just click the remote. Other movies I never get tired of watching are listed below and in order (where my holey memory suffices) of likeability/watchability... - "The Turning Point" (or any dance movie) - "White Knights" (or any movie or video clip featuring Mikhail Baryshnikov) - "Star Trek" (the latest one - I'm not sure of the title and I'm too lazy to go look, but this one may end up being my number 1 on the list, I think whoever cast that movie was a genius; all the characters were spot-on perfect) - "The Fifth Element" - "Armageddon" - "Independence Day" - "Avatar" - "Over The Hedge" (that ADHD squirrel will make me bust my stitches belly laugh every time) - "Jurassic Park" (and most modern special effects block-busters) - "Star Wars, Episodes 4, 5 and 6" (yes I am a sci-fi geek, I freely admit) - "Gone in Sixty Seconds" Movies I can re-watch but need more time in between viewings... - "The Mummy" - "Shrek 2" - "Ice Age" - "Harry Potter" (any episode, but I usually take a whole day to watch them from beginning to end) - "Twister" (special effects) - "Lord of the Rings" (any of the three, but I usually take a whole day to watch them from beginning to end) - "What Women Want" (yes, I especially like the dance scene - go figure ;) - "The Day After Tomorrow" - "Indiana Jones" (all except the last, some things are better left undone and that role, like Han Solo, needs to be left decently alone) - "Ocean's Eleven" There are some that I really enjoyed watching once but not watching over and over, like "Troy" (Brad Pit at his yummy best - who else thinks he's not aging well, or is it my "how could you do that to poor Jen and for that slut" talking?). What about you guys? I won't go into the movies I wish I had saved my time hanging by my toes in a dungeon rather than watching - there are way too many and in those cases I appreciate my holey memory, but please feel free to list those as well. I know we've done this topic before, but we have newbies here and besides, my memories have gone "through the wormhole"! ; -- Hugs, CatNipped See all our masters at: http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped See the RPCA FAQ site, created by "Yowie", maintained by Mark Edwards, at: http://www.professional-geek.net/rpcablog/ Email: L(dot)T(dot)Crews(at)comcast(dot)net |

My all-time favorites include: Shrek II (by far the best of the Shrek movies, IMO, although I enjoyed them all) Second Hand Lions The Green Mile Forrest Gump I know there are others, but I can't think of them at the moment. I think there are a few "Young Frankenstein" fans here if I remember past discussions on this topic - I like it too (I like all of Gene Wilder's movies, so "Blazing Saddles" is a favorite too). I'd heard there was more blood spilled in the opening 5 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan" than in the totality of any other movie, so I deliberately missed that one. -- Hugs, CatNipped See all our masters at: http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped See the RPCA FAQ site, created by "Yowie", maintained by Mark Edwards, at: http://www.professional-geek.net/rpcablog/ Email: L(dot)T(dot)Crews(at)comcast(dot)net |

Seriously, it's a comedy and one of the funniest I have ever seen. The most recent Star Trek The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Anything from Mel Brooks Robin Hood (the one with Errol Flynn and his delicious tights) Too early to think of more... Forbidden in my house: anything with Angelina Jolie. Blessed be, Baha |

Limelight The General Steamboat Bill Jr. The Grapes of Wrath Almost ALL of the films directed by John Ford. I consider him to be the greatest American film director of all time, by far. There are quite a few movies he has directed, that I have NEVER had the opportunity to see. It's one of my life goals, to see all of the films directed by John Ford. There are MANY others. |
