We Met!
Had lunch today with Annie and Jim and their daughter Christine, who had
the grandson in tow. Annie and Jim are in the Seattle area on a whirlwind "visit all the folks" tour and took time to have lunch with me. Originally DW was going to join us but she had a badly-bummed knee and thought it better to stay home. When we were making arrangements, Annie told me that hers was the "cutest grandbaby ever" and I'll agree that he's quite cute although, bless his heart, he slept through our lunch. Never heard a peep out of him. Annie and Jim are so very interesting to chat with. The voyage tails which Annie has written to the group only scratch the surface of what they shared with me. I am fascinated by their experience and envious of their fortitude in taking on such a journey. I understand why Pam and Rob Shirk were so taken with them. I am too. They're great folks! Should any of the rest of the group have the chance to visit with them, please don't pass it up. You'll have a great time with them. -- Sam, closely supervised by Mistletoe |

We were sorry to miss Ramona and wish her a rapid recovery. Maybe some other time we'll get to see them both. Meeting Sam, Pam and Rob, Julie, and JoJo (when Jim had his surgery) has helped Jim understand why I'm so devoted to this group. I had the pleasure of meeting Elisabet in Sweden, when I was there with our other daughter, but Jim was not able to make that trip with us, so missed out. We aren't finished yet with our travels and hope to meet more RPCA people along the way. Annie and Jim |

Annie and Jim are among the most fascinating and warm people we've ever met. Also, if you get a chance, don't pass up any opportunity to meet Sherry and Larry, Steve Touchstone, Christine Burrell and her family, Christa and Loen Clement in British Columbia, Alphonse, and Lisa Loque. If I've forgotten your name, it's not that I've forgotten you, it's that I'm a total blonde airhead and can't remember names. I really think RPCA gatherings would be so cool, because everyone we've met via the group has been awesome. I'd really love to get that chance to go overseas and meet more RPCA people, as well as the chance to meet more here in the states. We still haven't made it to the North East, yet, and I'd love to go there and meet Suz, Tak, and anyone else up there. There are so many of you I'd love to meet. Getting to visit Annie and Jim has just wetted our appetites to meet more of the group. |
