My beautiful Scaredycat died today.

She'd seemed much better in herself lately & had responded well to her
thyroid meds, but last night lost the use of her back leg. Took her
to the vet today and it was grim news - inflamed kidney, dehydration,
severe anaemia, cancer, some sort of infection, blood loss into
kidneys & bowel, and some other stuff that I can't remember. Vet
said there was no prospect of her recovering and said she would be
feeling so ill that he couldn't recommend that we took her home to
nurse her.

We were there with her as she went. It was very quick.

To be honest, I think she was ready to go.

Still hurts, though. My heart hurts.

I'm so very sorry, my sincere condolences. I will light a candle for
Scaredycat.

We'll light a candle for Scaredy to light her way to Rainbow Bridge, and are
sendingpurrs (and wags, and tummy blurts) for your heavy heart.
