Purrs and prayers please for friend's mom. She goes under
the knife later today (31 January) for a biopsy and possible
excision of a growth in her stomach, found after an
emergency admission with elevated electrolyte levels and
kidney failure. She thought it was just the winter vomiting
disease that's endemic in the UK. Being diabetic doesn't
help none :-(

Worst case is the big "C". Best case is a simple benign
polyp, or a perforated ulcer. Here's hoping it's not the
first of these two.

Lots and lots of purrs,
Polonca and Soncek

Please increase the intensity of your purrs. They found a
tumour on or near her bladder, and it's putting pressure on
the tubes that should drain her kidneys - except they don't .
A biopsy has been done to determine if the tumour is benign or
malignent :-((. Meanwhile, she's having daily surgery (under a
local anaesthetic) to flush the kidneys.

There's two D-things and a fluffy cat waiting for mom to
return home...

Try not to worry too much, Matt. I would not say this to you
if I hadn't gone through a similar thing myself. There *is*
hope even if it's malignant.
Like me. I was told I would die soon of my ovarian tumour in
05. I am still here being a nuisance.

Thanks for your thoughts, prayers and purrs. Unfortunately, it's
the big "C". Primary breast cancer, secondary tumours on various
internal organs. The prognosis isn't good, but it is operable
(just - very aggressive surgery) - then chemo & radiotherapy.
