I caught the black/white feral last week and had him snipped, I caught my Rocky cat, former feral, tonight and took him in to be snipped. I get home and put food out and what shows up???? A new cat, FEMALE of all things. I am scared about this one, she acted like she hadn't eaten in a week, but was fat. She would let me pet her while she ate, but didn't like it one bit. She kept walking away, but had to come back to eat. It isn't kitten season in the States is it??? Not in the winter???

BTW, I had someone say that my posts were HTsomething and was a problem for them. Anyone else have trouble? If so, what can I do to fix it?

Head butts to all, Lisa.

Could be. Cats can get pregnant no matter the season.

the HTML, There is a setting under Tools and Options to send and recieve
in Plain Text. You need to change those.

Well, Little Bit became my all-time-favorite Mamma cat after she
showed up very pregnant during a January ice storm, moved in and
announced I needed a cat. I couldn't find anyone in the neighborhood
who had lost a cat. A week later she had her kittens, and when it came
time for the kittens to go to their new homes I became a slave to
Little Bit and her daughter Sammy.

Probably HTML, and if so it can cause some folks problems depending on
their newsreader. I don't see it here, since I have my reader set up
to convert to plain text automatically. As for how to fix it, there
should be a setting, probably in your preference settings, that can be
switched from HTML to plain text. Let us know what newsreader you're
using and I'm sure some one here can provide help on the proper steps.
BTW, HTML is what web pages are written in.

HTML. It's not good for many readers. Depending on what newsreader you
use, you need to configure it to send messages using plain text only.

Congrats on catching the feral!

I am going to believe this, Lisa -- geez, and I thought my house was the
only one that said, cat suckers live here. Well, hang in there and you'll
have all the encouragement and support and energy purrs we can provide to
help you help this new arrival. Good luck and mega purrs!

Your posts are, or contain, HTML: they are, in effect, web pages.
While it is true that Microsoft has seen fit to make it's apps behave
the opposite of existing standards, even - especially - if this means
making them incompatible with standard apps of the same type, They do
provide a switch somewhere in the configuration - often well hidden -
to turn off the 'features'. A Google search on "outlook express"
"turn off html" will turn up instructions for turning it off as well
as discussions of why using it in newsgroups is such a bad idea.

I'm in north west England, and we took in a cat with three, day-old kittens
yesterday

Yes, she could be pregnant.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of the ferals, Lisa. Is the
female that showed up fat (and maybe lost) or is she going to have babies?
About the format you are using, you should go to Tools/ then choose Options
/ then go to Send and for News Sending Format choose Plain Text instead of
HTML. Hope that helps.
Best wishes,

Anything is possible. I have seen December kittens. She was
probably dumped - typical dumped cat behavior.
