Default Teething?

Bonnie is now just a little over 6 months old and the shy kitteh has
become an affectionate extrovert (she's currently curled up next to
me) but over the last week or so she's started to bite...not serious
bites just more putting her teeth around my hand/arm/skirt etc it's
not even really a bite doesn't hurt or even puncture the skin. Dave
thinks she is teething is he right? I realy don't know when kittehs
get their adult teeth

About that age. Biting can become a bad habit, though.

That kind of bite is called a love-bite. Westie does that to me a lot.

When she does it I say "OW!" in a high pitched voice and move away
from her- seems to be working

Not sure about that - I know they're BORN with a set of needle-sharp
little teeth. (Pity the poor mama cat who has to NURSE them!) Most of
my cats have indulged in "love-bites", which sounds like what you
describe. Unfortunately Mélisande starts with the gentle love-bite, but
then continues to chomp down harder and harder until she draws blood!

Teething
Teething is a group of diseases that often affects children, and many of these diseases provides typical rash. Most childhood illnesses are completely harmless, and rarely give complications. They may, however, give quite widespread rash. Read more about the most common types of childhood diseases that affect the skin in the articles below.

But how does this apply to cats? IIRC, they are BORN with teeth!

It doesn't even apply to people. Teething is not a disease, or a group
of diseases. It is a natural part of development. True, it can
sometimes be accompanied by disease, which may or may not be related.
