I am about to go to bed and I just checked to make sure KFC was on hers.
Oh dear. It's such a habit.
And it brings tears every time when I remember.

{{{{{{{{Christina}}}}}}} It's got to be terribly difficult. I know you
miss her. I'm so sorry for your loss.

When I go downstairs in the morning, I still think Winnie is going to
be on the "dining counter," ready to demand breakfast for himself and
his mother, sister and friend. For months this hurt terribly. Then I
just tried to ignore it. Now I smile at him, standing there proudly
with his little chest sticking out. Sometimes it brings tears but I'm
smiling too.

She was one in a million and it is no wonder it hurts.

It's been 10 months since Tripper died, and I still keep
glancing at his favorite spots.

Then again, I still find myself holding a small corner of
toast....a favorite of our Irish Setter...and she's been
gone for decades.

They're all special, and all leave their mark on our hearts.

Purrs and sympathetic thoughts for your tears.

Chris, Katie, Hazard and Oreo
(In loving memory of Tripper)

I'm so sorry, Tweed. I know how it feels. I used to climb into
bed every night and feel a giant empty hole when Fin didn't
jump on the other pillow to join me.

*hugs*

I still sometimes say "Bandit" when I'm talking about Sammy - and it still
makes me cry, but it's not as often now and there are more times when I can
talk about her and smile.

Hang in there, sweetie, eventually the hurt will fade and, until then, we're
here for you.

Hugs,

CatNipped

I went out a few days after Isis crossed the Bridge to do some
shopping and got to the checkout before I realised I'd picked up her
favourite Sheba.....got me some very odd looks when I started crying
there and then

Ike disappeared ten years ago. I had a photo of him blown up to poster

with Amber and Tiger every night.

I could have accepted it if I was my own decision and my own vets too. But
it wasn't, and to find that your beloved girl has been destroyed in your
absence when you were in hospital is more than difficult.
I never thought it was necessary to microchip her or put an address on her
collar since she never stepped more than a few yards from her house for
years.
I did not expect her to be snatched by a cat rescue weirdo when she ventured
outside, perhaps to look for me when I was taken to hospital the previous
evening.
I had made arrangements that June would care for her until I was back again.
I intend to find out who did it.
There was a flyer though my letterbox tonight, still looking for the 3
legged blue cat whose owner I spoke to a few days ago. A few purrs for him
would be good, he's been missing since Apr 12 and seems to have totally
disappeared.
At least I know what happened to KFC even though it was not what I wanted to
hear. It must be terrible for her to not know where her boy is.
