Default Mayhem's new perch

Since the BF moved in....there are a ton of boxes around the
apartment. He's also a part time tailor so there are also lots of
fabric around too.

Well as he finally sorted through the boxes a large folded piece of
black velvet ended up being draped over one of these boxes. And the
otehr boxes nearby have ended up to provide a presentable staircase.

I suddenly noticed the other day the presence of white cat fur on the
black velvet.

And tonight, while watching TV, i looked over and noticed Mayhem
jumping up onto the velvet, kneading it gently, and then meatloafing
with a satisfied kitty grin. I nudged the BF, and he looked and just
shook his head.

Moral: Black Velvet attracts cats with white fur.

Kristi,

I'm a long-time seamstress, so I have rows and rows of fabric-filled
shelves in my apartment. The Princess Rita takes great joy in finding
whatever shelf has recently had a piece removed and cramming her body
into that little hole to cuddle up and shed. She especially likes
the mounts of crushed panne velvet shelf, and of course, the piles of
polar fleece.

Tell your BF that I understand completely.

Jane
