Current favorite toy not store bought...

The blue ribbon. It's cloth and Maui just adores it as of late. He drags
it from room to room with it dragging out behind his two back feeties. Last
night it was downstairs by the cat boxes. Nothing like a good romp with a
ribbon and then realize ya gotta pee!!

A clear shopping bag. Especially Frank. I honestly believe he thinks
he can see me,
but I can't possibly see him, becuase he IS in a bag, after all. He
rolls around
wild-eyed in there and acts totally possessed. Boots doesn't
approve of this, I can tell; she gives him this look of utter
contempt. Like "What is WRONG
with you??"

What's that favorite toy right now in your house??

For Harri it's still her boa feather on a wand. Unfortunately it seems to
be broken now in a most peculiar way.

Harri frequently drags her toy down to the basement during the day, then
when her humans get home it's time to bring it upstairs to play. She
grabs it by the feather and drags it part way up the stairs, stops to
meow at us, and when she does the feather wand slides all the way down to
the bottom of stairs.

It sounds like "thump-thump-thump" as she climbs the stairs, "meow",
"thump-thump-thump" as she goes back down to pick it up, "thump-thump-
thump" as she again climbs halfway, "meow", etc. After just a couple
rounds of this I go downstairs and pick up Harri and her toy and carry
them both up to the living room.

Bus schedules - well, actually any paper or thin cardboard. Sam adores
the stuff. He holds it in his paws and reflectively chews off a tiny
bit, spits it on the floor, and repeats. Again. And again. And again.
It's almost like a form of meditation and can go on for ages.

It's surprising how much paper a cat can reduce to shreds *without*
using his claws.

bit, then looks at me as if to say "Why?" when I take it off her.

Around here, favorite toys are two wine corks. They are dirty, falling
apart but no one will accept a new one.

Actually, they ARE store bought at the moment-- Dante was kicking his jingle
balls all over the house last night.

Dante likes to drag his feather wand around, too. He grabs it by the
feathers, too, and drags the stick behind him.

A Q-tip. Lily loves to stick her paw into the
jar where I place q-tips. She'll fish one out and

The Princess Rita likes her tiny stuffed cats. She has two of them and
she drags them all over the
apartment, but they seem to settle down by her food bowl frequently.
Lately, she's been jumping
on top of the television to get MY tiny stuffed teddy bear, because
apparently her toys aren't
sufficient, so she has to go after mine. *heavy sigh*
Am I even allowed any toys of my own?

She loves her feather on a stick too, but only if the bell is
working. She just loves bells.
