I got a box of 1000 coffee stir sticks at Office Max for $3.75

They are round. On line, I could not find flat ones ANYWHERE. Round must
be cheaper to make. And I did not have time to order them on line,
anyway.

But the ones at Office max are larger in diameter than the ones I had
seen at four local places that serve coffee.

They are large enough that I can flatten the end, and they work great!

I'm set for about 2.5 years.

If Kenzie does well, of course

But I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, while remaining very
worried.

Kenzie has been getting a LOT of extra attention, scritches, brushing,
etc., since this started.

So far, she does not act at all sick. I just hope that continues.

Thank you all for your support.

I ordered a full pallet of sardines.

Just kidding. But I do need to stock up; I only have 3 tins.

will only be so many, and then there will never, ever, be any more.

(snip)

You had me going there, I was trying to imagine what a full pallet of
sardines would look like, all those little cans, until I got to the next
sentence. Very good!

I'm glad you found what you needed,

Uhh.... Excuse me, but what did I miss? You need flat coffee stirring
sticks? I've got a ton of them here that will never be used. My ex left them
behind. He used to make things out of them.

Rainbow Foods has sardines on sale for $.58/tin, about half price.

But there is a limit of two tins

So today, I got 8 of them

It took awhile, (had to wait in all 4 open lines for awhile) but that's
enough for about 40 days.

I'll get more, later this week, too

Tonight and all day tomorrow, we are supposed to get anywhere form 3 to
8 inches of snow.

I don't go shopping when the roads are really bad.

So, do you want me to send you some sticks? I have hundreds of them.

Kenzie was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and some other problems.

I am giving Kenzie Tapazole 2x day using soft margarine, and a narrow
flat stick to place the pill, in the margarine, on the back of her
tongue. it is working quite well. I give Kenzie a piece of sardine after
I pill her.

This just started last Wednesday. It's going to be a long haul; Kenzie
will need to be on Tapazole 2x day for the rest of her life....if it
works for her. In about 8% of cats, it affects their bone marrow, and
they can't take it.

I'm so sorry to read this Gandalf. Kenzie is one of my favorites (I do love
them all, but some are even more special than others. Please keep us
informed on how she does and please know that we're all thinking good
thoughts for Kenzie and you.
