Peace of mind

Worried about Abelard's "black claws", I took him to the vet - he really
enjoys being taken on little trips in the car - and learned that the claws
were merely dirty. He apparently doesn't do a good job of cleaning them
because he hasn't got many small front teeth left. He'll be going back for a
dental appointment early next week and is now taking an antibiotic in
preparation for that.... His blood was checked for everything including
thyroid, and it's all within normal limits. I am feeling relieved.

I can imagine you would be! I'm glad it wasn't anything serious.
