Well, the vet took X-rays that showed nothing broken but did observe that
his left foreleg was "sensitive to manipulation". I guess the right one
was OK. Vet prescribed anti-inflammatory for the soreness.

I think it's working. When I got home tonight, he wanted to go out back.
Our house has a "daylight basement" (top floor opens out to the street
side; bottom floor opens out to the back yard) and he usually wants to go
outside with me through the downstairs. Tonight, he went downstairs with
no trouble and spotted our neighbor's Lab in our yard. Rex chased him
around the back yard twice at full speed, took care of his own "nature
call" then came back inside and back up to the main level as though
nothing was wrong.

Funny thing, though. When he got back to the top of the stairs, he sat
down and held up his *right* foreleg. Faker!

LOL! I'm glad he's okay.

This story reminds me of Herbie (RB). He was once hit by a car. Luckily,
it was apparently just a glancing blow, but his hip was injured. He had a
very noticeable limp, so naturally we took him to TED. The vet said it
wasn't broken, but that he would probably always have a limp. About a week
later, he limped across the floor, then saw something move and was after it
in a flash. He tried the limp once or twice after that, but he seemed to
know we were onto him, and gave it up.

What a relief!
