Hoomin TED kewpt owr pawpaw!!
{Posted and e-mailed}
Owr pawpaw had tew go tew da hoomin TED urlee yesserday morning an dey kewpt hym! Dey kewpt owr pawpaw! Meowmie kame home by herownsef an we sed, "warz pawpaw," fallowed by "wez hungree, feed uz an kleen da liddur box," of kors. Shahna an Shadow (furry worreed but noz thur pyrowritees) ===== Hoomin note: My husband wasn't feeling well starting around 7 that Monday night, but decided to play the macho-husband (I don't need to go to the hospital, I can tough it out, it's not that bad, etc.). Then around 2:00 a.m. he wakes me up and finally admits that I need to take him to the hospital! We went to Emergency, where they took blood and x-rays, ran tests, and then decided they needed to check his colon and a cat-scan (even though Shahna and Shadow weren't there ;- ) They give him a painkiller, which allows him to sleep. Really sleep. Snoring. Meanwhile, I'm wide awake watching him sleep. 3 am., 4 am., 5 am., etc. Turns out he has diverticulitis. Caught it before it got serious. It's quite common, but had one of those polyps burst ... I've been up since 2 am yesterday. I went home and tried to sleep, but Shahna and Shadow decided they just HAD to chase and fight each other -- jumping over my body in the bed, spring off of my body -- so I did NOT get any sleep. Until now. Goodnight. Evelyn PS - two kitties are in trouble and may be teleporting over to Onyx to hide. |

My husband is over 50 and the doctors said for American adults his age and older, it's very, very common. His case isn't as severe though, because he does eat a lot of veggies and no red meat; however, he loved to eat nuts, corn, and popcorn -- which he can no longer eat :-( Evelyn On Tue, 4 May 2004 16:12:06 -0400, "Ray or Fran" wrote: I'm reading this very late, but lots of positive thoughts through the ether for your husband that the diverticulosis can be controlled and that this was a one and only time trip to the hospital.
