Default Purrs needed for the feral Boardwalk cats of Atlantic City

There is, or more likely, there WAS a large colony of feral cats living
UNDER the boardwalk at Atlantic City

In happier times:

http://www.knowyourcat.info/getcat/boardwalkcats.htm

I watched some CNN coverage last night, and the storm surge completely
flooded the boardwalk, with wave after wave battering the entire area.

There were shelters built by the volunteers UNDER the boardwalk, to help
the colony survive the cold winters in Atlantic City.

I'm sure many were washed away, or destroyed by the battering of the
storm's waves. I'm sure some had terrified cats in them

I saw film of a large life guard station, almost as big as a small
house, that was lifted off of its foundation, and floated up against the
boardwalk, and battered against it.

I'm betting that many cats, who were so well cared for through the hard
work of many volunteers, didn't survive the storm and flooding.

Purrs are needed for the cats that went to the Bridge, and for those
that survived: cold, wet, and hungry. And thirsty, as well: they
depended on the volunteers for food AND fresh water.

I'm sure the dedicated volunteers are doing what they can, but just
getting to the boardwalk is going to be difficult, in the storm's
aftermath.

And, up and down the East Coast, there are many cats and dogs who didn't
survive the storm, or are now struggling to survive, in it's aftermath.

They all need purrs, too.
