Default Now I have to say something nice.

Well, I feel bad for trashing UPS now even though I'm still mad about
the lost cat food. Poor Bootsie is sitting in the window. I'm sure she
is watching for the UPS truck. I should tell them that.

So now I'm gonna say something nice about someone. I'm still working on
my "Purrfect Cat" photo contest for Bark in the Park. I could not find
any containers suitable for people to put their "votes" (money) in.

I stopped by the dog food cannery, just wondering if I could buy some
New, empty cans.

They *gave* me three cases of "can banks", nice new cans, sealed up,
with a slot in the top for money. Perfect.

Our local Humane Association makes their own 'donation' cans. Since we
share the shelter building, and the shelter is located on city property, we
are located right next door to the city's waste management department's
offices (not near the city dump, thankfully). The compound includes a
recycle drop-off center, and a place where people can leave
still-good-but-no-longer-wanted clothing items & other things. Including
styrofoam (non-biodegradable) egg cartons & other things for artsy-crafty
stuff (and teachers do stop by and pick up stuff for their classes!). Among
those items are Pringles cans. We cut a slit in the plastic lid, and wrap
the can in a laminated "please help us help them" cover and, voila!, one
handy-dandy donation can!

That's a perfect idea; you can re-use them too. These, I will have to
use a can opener to get them open! I'm gonna ask everyone to start
saving Pringle's cans, so we'll be ready next time.
