[OT] Someone will get a laugh
On 2006-08-12, Mark Edwards penned:
One of the positions is my old job. Happens all the time, apparently. When I was laid off from Ball, they made it clear that they encouraged me to apply if I saw an opening, and that they have people coming back all the time after layoffs, sometimes more than once. I barely kept myself from asking, "Why?" I mean, maybe a layoff is just a budget thing, but it's still a rejection. It hurt like hell. But if you really enjoyed the work, it certainly makes sense to offer your services to them again. Maybe they'll realize what they're missing. -- monique, who spoils Oscar unmercifully pictures: http://www.bounceswoosh.org/rpca |
