Default A clue, perhaps?

Today when I let Abelard out of the bathroom after his private meal, he
seemed to be startled momentarily and he darted past me, Tommy, Buzzy and
Lily, spraying or leaking urine as he flew by. If I'd been wearing shoes I
wouldn't have noticed but as it is my toes got dampened.

Did he see something that scared the pee out of him? Was it a moment of
insolence, or territoriality toward the three cats waiting to clean his
plate? Or maybe he just had some pent-up energy and felt like streaking
through the utility room, and the sudden movement induced stress
incontinence?

I have no way of know why he did it, but somewhere in those details may lie
a clue to the reason he will no longer use a litterbox.

Yes, it might. I'm hoping that continued observation might lead to an
understanding of why he is having litter box problems.
