Default The inspector Roadcat

Another new behavior I've just been noticing for the last two or three
weeks - Harri must inspect everything poured into her bowls.

If I go to pour water into her water bowl or kibble into her food bowl,
she insists on inspecting it before I'm allowed to pour. If I manage to
sneak past her guard and pour out some water or kibble or a small bit of
milk without her prior approval, she will almost tackle my hand when I'm
finished to sniff the container I'm pouring from. I guess she wants to
be sure that I'm pouring good stuff before she deigns to check out the
bowl itself.

Yep, she's making sure you aren't keeping the "good stuff" for yourself

Indeed, a cat has to be sure that she's training her human to serve only the
best. One cannot slack from this duty ;-)

And I forgot to mention, she is also taking quite seriously her need to
monitor my litter-scooping activity as well. Every time I start to scoop
her litter he hops into the box and grabs my hand every time I go to
take a scoop out. I guess she wants to make sure I've got enough solids
in the scoop. She also starts digging through the litter while I'm
scooping, apparently helping me be sure I don't miss any.

What a helpful cat!
All Rusty does is ask for food. Today I gave him a bit less food and he came
to ask for more after he finished eating. He watches from
a distance when I scooped the litter box.

Well Dan,
it seems like she is giving you the extensive training course and seems
like you are learning so well.
I was telling my hubby about Harri the roadcat and he says that that is
something he would love to see.

We do seem to be amusing an awful lot of people on the road these days.
I'm going to try to get more photos and video clips online soon.
