I didn't realize bobcats were that small! 15 to 20 pounds seems tiny (my
Sammy - AKA Samazon - is 18 pounds of pure muscle)!

Hugs,

I know what you mean.

Bubba can barely see 25 lbs in the rear view mirror.

He's not fat, either.

I haven't seen any bobcats where I am. I'd love to see one.

I haven't seen any bobcats here (I think it's too hot a climate for them
here in south Texas), but I have seen cougars not far from where I live (and
once a coyote just two streets over). As fast as we're encroaching on their
territory, we're going to see more and more of that. I just saw a fawn dead
on the side of the road a few weeks ago - their former home, woodlands a
half mile from my house, has been turned into a denuded, treeless
subdivision of cookie-cutter housing! :

Hugs,

It can get pretty warm here in Las Vegas. :^)

I've seen cougar tracks, but never an actual cat.

A couple of years ago there was a video on the nightly
news of a cougar strolling down the street in the middle of
suburbia in the middle of the afternoon like she/he owned it...

There are periodic warnings to not tie dogs out in the
yard or leave small children unattended.

I've seen coyotes in packs within a few miles of the Strip.

There are Bighorn Sheep in the area, but they stay far away from town.

That article talks about a bobcat violating the Las Vegas Prime Directive
(Don't Bother The Visitors) in a casino-hotel parking lot.

Anyway, anywhere you might be there are more people and
less room for wild critters. Those that adapt will survive.
