Default CTS of a different breed

Several months ago I realized that my left elbow was sore. Soon it
became quite painful. I wondered if it was some sort of arthritic
process since I had suffered a compound fracture of that elbow when I
was a child and I understand previously broken joints might be the first
to show age. I began thinking I should get a sling and immobilize my arm
for awhile until I could determine what was making it hurt so badly.

Then one evening Hobbes jumped up on the back of my couch as he does
every evening and came over for some loving. As I do every evening I
reached up and back with my left arm to rub his ears and chin. As he
has begun doing recently when I reach back to rub his ears, he leaned
his weight against the crook of my elbow.....all 25 lbs of his weight
against the inside of my elbow....which caused excruciating pain in that
joint. Duhhhh, Julie. Now I know why my elbow hurts so badly, the
problem is trying to explain to Hobbes that yes Meowmy loves him but she
just can reach up and back and at the same time support his weight.
Silly cat.
