Does anyone have her address? I was wondering if we could find her vet using that.

I have been watching for any news from her or about her. I am really afraid
that no news is not good news. She loves Boyfie so much, and his injury
sounded horrific.

I really hope you're wrong. :'(

I've got that awful feeling too.

I haven't updated before (probably should have) because I didn't want to
raise false hopes and also because I'm totally emotionally exhausted by the
worry.
Boyfie is doing quite well atm, he remains in hospital though. He's eaten
without me there now - but only during the night or when there's no one in
the cattery and his temperature is normal which is a good sign.

I'm afraid to have him home until the chance of getting peritonitis has
passed as no way will I be able to get oral meds into him twice a day by
myself.
So up to now the news is hopeful. It was an awful injury to witness and the
vet says "we are never going to know how it happened"

So far this is good news. Normal temperature and an appetite -- even if he
eats less than usual -- are good signs.

Maybe YOU can relax just a bit now. And don't forget to eat. You are no good
to Boyfie if you're tired and malnourished.

Let's hope for continued recuperation and a swift return home!

It was very serious injury. for now he's doing well in hospital, but not
out of the woods yet.
The vet says he's never seen such a bizarre injury and we'll never know how
it happened.
It doesnt seem to be an attack from a fox or dog as there are no bruises or
bite marks and his fur was clean (so he wasn't bowled over in a fight) and
to be quite honest I can't imagine him getting in that situation.
It looks like he fell on to something sharp - like broken glass. but he's
usually sensible about that, so it will remain a mystery.

It is sickening to think it may be non accidental. :-(

It won't be non-accidental, there is no way he would get near enough to
anyone to harm him and no-one would be down their big gardens at that time
of night anyway.
My best guess is that he squeezed through a broken pane of glass in
someone's greenhouse after a mousie but that's just a theory.
Makes me wish he had one of those camera collars on.

As you say, you'll likely never know. It *would* be interesting to know
what he's doing when he's out and about. But it doesn't sound like he'd
tolerate one of those camera collars!
