They are so cute when they do this, and it's obvious to me that they talk to
eachother, sometimes with sound, most of the time without. Do your cats
communicate in the same way?///

Mine never shut up - they are always saying something to either me or
each other. The kitten wanders around talking to herself all the time,
Robbie keeps a running commentary up with him and the other cats and
with me, and Cleo answers me as soon as I call her.

All they do is Yap!

Cinders will sometimes be quiet for hours, and other times will walk
through the house, calling out Meerooow? Meerooow?, as if she is
declaring the house her territory and challenging any other cats
(there aren't any) to show themselves.

Lily talks to me all the time. She tells me to fill up her food bowl, she
tells me to rescue the little birdie she just tossed up on top of the
refrigerator and she scolds me when I come through the door after I've been
away on an errance or a visit.

Dante does that, too. "Mew? Whooo! Whrrrrrrrrrr! Nyow-wow?"

"Nyow-wow?" is the favorite noise. When you hear "Nyow-wow?" you know
it's Dante.
