finding lost cat???
Not mine...but my daughter's & her familles...not going to debate
inside vs outside cats...Atlas is small male long hair tiger, he is fixed and up to date on vacation also he's used being outside because he darts for outside they waited until the last day of the move to get him, he was only alone 1 night they put him in his carrier and started to go to the new place, maybe 1/2 miles away (prob less)....the carrier opened (mine did that before, too they're made so cheap) Atlas jumped out the window at a nearby school (this was last night) they stopped immediately searched and called for him He knows me well and always has came to me...first I thought he'd be ok, just go straight down the street with bridge then a left down the next St. (they were the first on the St.) big prob though the bridge is out (I forgot that) I went back to their old apartment, had an opened can of food went all around the house, up & down the street when ever my daughter & grandson went for a walk Atlas would go with, following behind them then running ahead...since he is neutered I know that makes his territory shorter but I'm hoping going on all those walks will help orientate him Also hoping the long hair will keep him warm enough and that he can find a hiddy hole...we're past the super cold weather here, phew...not supposed to go below 45 tonight....is that too cold for him? And how do you go about finding a lost cat? You can tell by looking at him Atlas has been well taken care of...and we're going to put an add in the paper, can't do that until Mon. though....maybe she can make up flyers and I'll put them up for her any ideas would really be appreciated ..... my daughter is heart broken...they've had 2 cats get hit by car they were both indoors and darted out, you know the story from there Atlas has always been her baby..he's an unusual guy...never seen such a small male (he's around 5) or a tiger w/long hair plus he's a people lover so if someone takes him in.... Julius, my grandson is eight he and Atlas are buddies hell I even love Atlas, does it show Lynn He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it. ~Douglas Adams |

Take canned food and treats that make some noise when you shake the bag and go back to the school at night. I hope you find the little guy. Sometimes, unfortunately, looking for a cat is like looking for a needle in a haystack. There are so many places they can hide and he might be spooked now. Yes, flyers around the school and his old neighborhood would be helpful. Best of luck finding Atlas. Candace |
