re sad warning

It didn't just bring tears to my eyes they're streaming down
my facenot only because cosmic died, that is sad enough
but to think of the poor little thing all on its own and trying to survive
it truly breaks your heart, at least she didn't die unloved,without
a name, I'm so glad you went back and picked her up so she didn;t
die alone in the gutter its good to know good people thank you jp

Thank you; and thank you tto everybody who replied on this thread. It helped a
lot. I just don't know what's happened to me; I squalled for two days over that
cat.. I can't do this anymore. I have pretty much limited myself anymore to
administrative stuff serving on the shelter Board. I don't do hands-on anymore.
Like today, I took them some KMR and kitten food I'd bought myself because
funds are low. I did a quick walk through of tthe cat room and didn't ask any
questions or handle them much. Self preservation or selfishness, you pick.
But on the other hand, life seems to throw us things like injured cats or birds
or whatever and I don't want to be so poorly prepared next time. I want to put
together a small kit for the trunk of the car. Practical things, towels. A
stiff piece of card board that I could have used to slide that cat on to pick
it up without hurting it further. A cardboard box with a lid. Maybe a muzzle.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
