What a great picture! Did you do that in Photoshop or another program?

Who's that in the background, in the picture where Dot and Spicey are
sniffing noses through the screen (in the thought bubble)?

embarassed millionaires.

I wrote it up in Visio, which normal people use for UML diagrams and floor
plans and things.

The thing behind Spicey is a mirror. I set it up so that Spicey and I can
see each other as I'm coming up the stairs, so that we don't surprise each
other (which might result in an attack).

I'm glad. I think this was my first attempt at composing a comic style
photo in RPCA.

For reference, this is a repost of the related scene from a couple of days
ago:

Today, I saw them sniff each other again, but through the screen this time.
Spicey sniffed Dot and said, "Mrah". Dot simultaneously sniffed Spicey back
and said, "Mreh", and gave a tentative purr. They repeated this a couple of
times, until Spicey retreated shyly around the corner, and I ushered Dot
aside so that I could open the gate and get through.

I was surprised that Spicey, who's never encountered other cats during her
adult life, and Dot, who hated Buster on sight, were amenable to having a
friendly conversation with each other.

Buster watched, frowning slightly, from a respectful distance next to the
agate at the corner of the stairs. Then, he ran off.

Oh, yes - I've worked with Visio too, to draw pictures of server rooms
and network diagrams. I like your subject matter much better.

see each other as I'm coming up the stairs, so that we don't surprise each

Oh, no wonder it looked like a second Spicey. I thought maybe it was a
collage of cat images. The image of the back of Dot's head can't be from
the same picture as the image of Spicey. The light and focus are totally
different. Or is that the effect of the screen?

I've never really addressed those rumors, 'cause I always figured
why defend yourself against something that's not offensive?

It's partly the screen - the light is shimmering off the metal of the mesh,
and Spicey is in the light, while Dot is sitting in shadow. Also, Spicey
was moving more than Dot in that photo.

Wow. That really looks almost like a drawing of Dot's head pasted into
the photo of Spicey. Most people try to avoid that effect, and you've
achieved it by accident!
