Default The ecological impact of cat cuddles

It's the end of summer in Hong Kong, and still very hot. In fact,
it'll be in the mid 80s fahrenheit until December, so things will
remain fairly warm around here.

At night time, two things can happen. Some nights, I'll decide to
sleep with the aircon turned off. The cats will splat themselves into
fuzzy puddles on the granite windowsills and spread out to get maximum
surface area cooling. Sometimes one will sleep in the bath.

Other times I'll leave the aircon turned on. These are cat-cuddle
nights, and I'll invariably wake to find Naughty tightly curled up
against my chest and Kiki wedged in between my knees.

So it's a tough choice. I can be an eco-warrior, save some power and
some CO2, but be spurned by overheated cats. Or I can spend a few
dollars on a night's worth of aircon and cozy, snuggly cats. Blame me
for global warming!

You mean you didn't know that global warming is a feline plot? That's
why the mothership is here!
