Default ADVERSE REACTION TO BOB MARTIN FLEA TREATMENT (SPOT ON)

On Xmas day I treated one of my cats with a Bob Martin Spot On flea
drop. After a day or 2 I noticed scabbing to his neck and this got
worse over the next couple of days.
I took him to the vet, who confirmed that this was probably a reaction
to the treatment and prescribed some anti-biotic cream for him.
However, this did not improve the situation and my cat had to be
operated on earlier this week to have an area of skin removed.
This has caused a lot of stress to my cat and me, as well as obviously
costing a lot of money. I've reported this to Bob Martin but they
have not replied yet.
Has anyone else's cat had such a reaction to this product and what
response have you had from Bob Martin? My cat has used this product
several times before without problem.
