Holly used to like to drink out of a faucet, but she was good at it. I
would turn it on to a very low stream. She would hop up onto the counter,
turn her head sideways, and lap up the water.

Persia used to do that when I was brushing my teeth. Back then the
vanity/sink was right next to the toilet. She'd hop up on the toilet
then onto the sink to sip from the running water. Since I didn't want
to spit toothpaste on her head (laugh) I bought her a Drinkwell
fountain. We've moved since then and the bathroom layout isn't
condusive to drinking from the spigot. I kept using the Drinkwell
fountain for a number of years. After a while, though, it became a bit
of a PITA to keep clean. I got her a nice deep ceramic water bowl which
I fill with fresh cold water twice a day. She doesn't seem to miss the
fountain. (I know I don't miss cleaning it!)
