Pics: summer's here
It's a hot day today, and Caliban can't bother to be modest or anything.

But I just had to say that I'm glad *someone* is getting summer, because we in the San Francisco area certainly are not! Well, I don't know what you call summer in SF, but here in Helsinki we're having over 20C for the next week or so, and that's a heatwave for us. SF temperatures are milder than many places in the USA, not to mention the world, but our springtime is usually a lot warmer (and sunnier!) than it's been this year. It's been grey and overcast for months. If this is how it's going to be all summer I'll be bummed. How does one grow decent tomatoes without sun? Caliban definitely seems affected by the heat. Poor Caliban! I definitely feel his pain. I don't tolerate heat that well, either. We usually have one or two heat waves every summer, which causes me to have a messy house (too hot to clean) and very flat cats. But I'm still glad we have them, partly for the aforementioned agricultural concerns, and also because then I appreciate the cooler weather later. Besides, no matter how hot it gets during the day, it always cools down at night. Joyce - trying to imagine Caliban as a "flat cat" -- May the great galactic kitten always purr you to sleep. |
