I'll leave the showing off to you since you love showing off your well trained gaping asshole. Wow, what an incredibly cheap shot. Shows a possible personality flaw, if anyone cared to ask me. Um, not really. Brandy is a has-been porn star infamous for anal sex, among other things. I think "cheap shots" were her forte. -L. |

Brandy Alexandre wrote: snip And a P.S. Aspirin is *toxic* for cats, but her vets allows half a baby aspirin when she gets arthritic episodes. Oh my GOD! She must want to kill my cat so I'll stop spending hundreds of dollars there. -- Brandy Alexandre=AE http://www.swydm.com/?refer=3DBrandyAlx Well, would you? Declawing finally catching up with poor Kami, eh? -L. |

Brandy Alexandre wrote: Actually, this issue is like the onion issue. Everyone had done a "Henny Penny" about the most miniscule amount of onion making cats drop dead on the spot. I read the article about onion toxicity, and they would have to each an entire medium sized oinion to reach such a level. Not true. Onions cause Heinz body anemia, and the damage is cumulative. So small amounts over time *can* kill your animal. It is not an acute toxicity that is the problem. Granted, if something isn't good for pets, don't give it in any amount to be safe, like chocolate for dogs, etc. But if you happen to let your cat lick gravy off your plate when you're done, and you suddenly remember it has onion in it, there is NO need to go freaking out or running off to the vet to have it's stomach pumped. I don't think anyone in this ng has ever advised anyone else to do so... As I said in a previous article, I keep the Huggies Natural on hand. For the level of its ingredients, and the amount of *that* actually getting on the cat, and the amount of THAT getting licked off... Gimme a break. Go ahead and let Kami lick propylene glycol. It will end up being another case of "I told you so" just like the arthritis... -L. |

I remember the declaw flames, back when you were the Bad Boy poster and not me. btw, what do you mean "you were the Bad Boy poster"? I'd still flame broil anyone who tries to justify declawing for anything other than a medical necessity. I know but you have just been so GOOD lately. :0) This is true. I am horrified. I almost risked Jay Jay's life, and I now have to face the idea that I killed Jasper. The most traumatic event in my life, worse than my other cats and dogs. And it might have been my fault. I have no way of proving it one way or the other, so I am stuck with this thought. Megan Don't blame yourself you weren't to know and it could have easily been something else in an undernourished and weak cat. This thread may have saved my furballs as I have never before heard of onion or onion powder being toxic to eats. Sarrasine once ate a bit of onion and I didn't think anything of it, (I don't think she ate much just a nibble and she didn't like the taste)but from now on, she isn't allowed anywhere near it! All the cat books I've read and this is the first mention of it. (Or Pepto bismol) I knew about aspirin and chocolate (Although Speedy Joe liked to gnaw on a square of chocolate until it became a melted soggy heap on the carpet at which point he'd look at me as if to say "You can clean that up now" Is there a website with a list of all the things that are toxic to cats? Meghan Noecker wrote: I'd check with your vet. Some vets still recommend small dosages of Pepto for cats. As for the baby wipes - check and see what the ingredient list is. Some of the natural ones on the market are ok to use. hugs, -L. |
