Ping Howard [OT]
Howard, I'd like to pick your brain for what you might know about the herpes
/ Epstein-Barr virus and it's relationship to lymphoproliferative disease (which includes Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma). For example, if a person, starting at age 2, had a severe case of Chicken Pox, then, at 11, a severe case of infectious mononucleosis (*with* the accompanying rash, which is very rare), then, in early 20s, a case of Shingles, then recurring, severe cold sores, then Shingles again; and that person is thus severely immunocompromised(1) - what do you think would be the likelihood of that person developing a malignant lymphoproliferative disease? (1)My doctor doesn't ever have the time to talk about it, but I would love to know if there has been any research into the relationship of this to the likelihood of developing fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. -- Hugs, CatNipped See all my masters at: http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped/ |
