Goofys retirement
Goofy is around 14.
Yesterday I looked out the window and he was in the stalk position. It looked like he was peeing, which he may have been. then i saw him doing the cat chatter mouth. I looked to the left and there was mr bunny 5 feet away. Another 10 seconds went by and Goofy walks the other way and starts chewing on some grass. Mr bunny continues to do the same. I think Goofy has lost his interest in socializing with the wildlife in the yard. Either that or he became friends with mr bunny. |

You stay over there, and I'll do my business over here. |

I think that after some discussion they reached an agreement on the rule of cohabitation of the yard. that rule being that they ignore each other. I wish Sootie and Marvin from next door would do that. Judith Judith apparantly mr bunny isnt afraid of goofy but is afraid of the black cat on the other side of the chainlink fence. I saw him bolting very fast across the yard a few hours later. |

Although he's never caught a rabbit as there are none near here. Even if there were, he would be only up to getting the young ones, same as rats, in case they harmed him. He's a bit of a wimp about the big brown-toothed adult rats and I don't blame him. He is fine with killing mice and small rats (very small) He has never killed a collared dove since he used to catch them for Kitty Farmcat when they were all she would eat. I never liked him killing birds and he rarely did. He was out for 3 hours from 4pm until 7 tonight and I began to get worried. He came in fine and I said "you could have least brought me a rat to excuse yourself" Because if he is hunting, he will sit for hours around a hole where he thinks one will come out, so where has he been? Unless it got away and he missed it. Unlikely. He can catch a mouse without seeing it, just by sound, I've seen him do it and KFC could do the same. You have to witness it to believe it. But he can't be bothered now so where was he? Tweed |
