Default Spicey at night

Spicey usually sleeps in the living room, but for some reason, she joined
me in bed last night, and I had sort of a head-Spicey.

When I went to bed, Spicey hopped up and parked herself next to my pillow.
That's her usual position when she wants to hurry breakfast in the morning,
so I mentally checked whether I'd given the cats a proper dinner. I had.

Nevertheless, Spicey was meatloafed right next to me. I turned to face her,
and she purred a long continuous purr, and gazed at me. Her eyes sparkled
like champagne glass in candlelight, and she seemed so content. She stayed
with me all night, until she got up at dawn to do whatever it is that
kitties do on their kitty rounds.

A short while later, she returned to the same location, and gently patted
me on the cheek. This was a little different from how she often lightly
rakes her claws across my face to wake me up. Her gentle mood had
apparently carried over through the night.

Spicey has her own good reasons for how she is, I'm sure. I believe that
Spicey is a girl with a deep reservoir of feelings and memories, and that
the ripples and play of moods we see on the surface only give a hint of her
inner Spicey world.

How very sweet! She sounds as if she was content. Of course I know all
about the pat/tap on the face or cheek. Persia used to do that.

It seems strange that Spicey could act anything like Persia! But I do think
that all kitties, and maybe especially the girls, have many hidden facets
to their personalities.

I love hearing about Spicey. She has come a long way from the cat who
sent you to the doctor from scratches.

I truly believe that you were the best person in the world to take her on,

Spicey has her own good reasons for how she is, I'm sure. I believe that

You are so sensitive to her moods. I've always thought, though, that
Spicey's difficulties stem from Suz not being able to handle her at all for
9 years which made her almost a feral cat living in a house.
KFC was difficult, I've had difficult dogs that no one else would take on
and been successful with, but I'm not sure I'd have kept Spicey if I had to
dangle myself off the staircase like you had to to avoid being slashed to
bits.

Oh good, a Spicey update. She certainly has come a long way.

It does seem a bit strange considering not long ago Spicey was
inflicting serious injury! Maybe Persia sent her some gentle-cat mojo.

Persia was definitely a most gentle girl.
