update on Jack's swallowed toy

Great news about Jack! I had a cat who swallowed a nickel (don't ask me
where he got it...) and had to have abdominal surgery to retrieve it. The
vet actually gave me the nickel back....

My son had a large pile of coins which he just left unattended in his room.
Kimba apparently got in, and thought they looked interesting... This was a
cat whose favorite food was cheddar popcorn... He ate anything and
everything. He had a kind of sad beginning .He had been living with a family
for a year when they had a baby and got rid of him. We got him at a shelter
that is really a private house just filled with cats. He was living in the
basement for about a year because he didn't get along well with the other
cats. He was one of the most fantastic cats I ever had (he passed away two
years ago of IBD) but he always seemed to feel that he needed to eat
everything in sight. He did weigh about 19 pounds...

He was amazing! All white with green eyes and he was tall and big boned (in
addition to having an amazing appetite...). Wish he was with us longer (only
about 7 years).
