Get off my head!!
Most of you know I have trouble sleeping soundly under the best of
circumstances. Last night I must have been exhausted because I fell asleep on the sofa. Persia was snuggled next to me and it's nice to sleep with her curled into me. Except after an hour or so, she got restless. She wouldn't get down. She just kept moving around. She moved to the arm of the sofa, but that wasn't close enough. So she leaned over and started kneading my head, which of course woke me up. I tried to encourage her to get back down next to me but she wouldn't. As soon as I drifted off again, she started kneading my head again. Persia, please stop that. She ceased, for a moment. Then I felt her ease her fluffy self down onto the pillow, trying to sit on the top of my head. Persia! Please! I still didn't have the wherewithall to get up and move to the bed. She had settled back on the arm of the sofa. I went back to sleep. Then I felt her creeping back down again. This time, though, she only shifted half of her body. She gave me a couple of little licks on the face and purred in my ear. A moment later I felt her lay her head on my chest. How sweet! That didn't last long, though. She just wouldn't settle down long enough to let me get back to sleep. I finally had to force myself to get up and go to my bedroom. And the little minx settled down on my spot on the sofa. Jill |

Jill Obviously you were in _her_ spot on the sofa. ;o) -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy & Bagheera) Cats leave pawprints on your heart http://community.webshots.com/user/clowderuk |

Jill Ah, now we know the secret. You were sleeping in her desired sleeping spot. On one visit to my sister, years ago, I spent the entire night with a kitten asleep on top of me, since I was on his favorite couch. Whenever I was about to change position, I would lift him off of me. Once I stopped moving, he would climb back into place and curl up again. -- John F.
