Marble has lost his friend

Marble has lost his great friend, KitKat, who has departed this earth.

KitKat lived nextdoor, but was a frequent and welcome visitor to Chateau
Wafflycat. KitKat was a tabby of distinction, with wonderful stripes,
magnificient ear tufts, a purr louder than a jumbo jet on take-off and a
very friendly nature. He was not averse to jumping in the windows of Chateau
Wafflycat, saying hello to the hoomins and then taking himself into the
kitchen to check out that I was feeding the resident felines properly...
KitKat passed away in a flowerbed in his garden. He is missed by his
hoomins, by the hoomins of this house and particularly by Marble, as he and
KitKat, as well as looking like each other, got along famously. Poor Marble
has been very demanding of affection this afternoon - it's as if he knows...

KitKat's hoomin was visibly distraught, so I wasn't pushing too hard for
information, just giving a gentle hug. As far as I can tell, it's not clear
what happened to KitKat. He was a lovely cat. Very friendly, sweet-natured.
I do hope that when the time is right, another stray finds its way to my
neighbour.. just as KitKat did when he was a kitten. Any cat that stays with
my neighbour will be a much loved cat.

particularly rough time in many ways recently.

I'm sorry for you all. KitKat sounds like he was a true gentlecat and a
boon companion. I hope that his humans are ok and that their broken hearts
heal soon.

As far as I can tell, it's not clear
