Default Kitty reflexes

The other morning I climbed into the bathtub and Emily took her usual
post on the bathmat. It was chilly, so she sprawled on her side and
placed her paws on the radiator. I reached for the soap on the rim of
the tub and accidentally knocked the soap dish on the floor. At the
clatter, Emily sprang straight into the air from a lying position in
about .00001 seconds, and looked at me, startled. I imagine your cat
has the same incredible reflexes. By coincidence, that same day
someone
sent me this link to a web page where you can test your reflexes, and
it's no wonder that two of the categories you're put in depending on
your speed are "Turbo-charged Cheetah" and Bobbing Bobcat!
Appropriately I was put in the latter group. If you want to test your
reflexes against your cat(s), click he

"Ambling armadillo" here. The kitties definitely have better reflexes!

I was a Bobbing Bobcat too, but I tend to improve at these things with
practice.

I got to be a Rocketing Rabbit and will try it again in the morning to
see if time of day makes a difference. Tonight, I was overcome by
laughter as I realized that, despite being more tired than I've almost
ever been, I was in a dark room shooting darts at animated sheep... over
and over and over again.

AHHHHHHHHH....

I managed to drag myself up from Ambling Armadillo to Bobbing Bobcat,
but I think that will remain my best.

Susan, you almost sound slap happy in that post. I laughed when I read
it. I hope you got a good night's sleep and that your life calms down.
Maybe you needed some time alone in a dark room to shoot darts at
animated sheep. Sounds better than a rubber room with no darts and no
sheep. And from experience, I can tell you they don't let you have it
dark in there. LOL

Not me! After several hundred attempts I am still a snail!

I test MY reflexes against my cats' everytime I get in or
out the door, leaving the cats inside! (They're fast, and
I'm not). When I had the door open a crack to get rid of a
magazine vendor, last winter, I discovered a security chain
leaves enough room for a determined cat to slip through,
unseen. Witness the fact Melisande spent a cold night
outdoors because I didn't see her go, and she wouldn't come
when called!

Sheesh, and I thought I had good reflexes! I'm an Amblimg Armadillo, too.
It was suggested I drink some coffee. But I just drank a pot of tea!

Can I plead a slow computer?
