Default Purrs for Lindy?

Ohh, poor Lindy, Purrs and prayers lovingly sent from our home.

I took Lindy to the doctor today, because she hasn't been eating for the
past couple of days (except some after I made the appointment), and she has
thrown up a small amount about once a day for the past week.
We saw my regular vet's new partner, who looks about 15 years old. The
good news is that Lindy's heart and lungs are good. She needs some dental
work, if they decide she can handle the anesthetic. They took blood and
urine and gave her an infusion (She was a little dehydrated) and an
appetite stimulant. I have a new kind of food to try, as well as more of
the appetite stimulant (Mirzapine). She's supposed to get 1/4 tablet every
3 days. They said if I can't get it down her, bring her in and they'll do
it. She didn't say whether or not they'd charge for that. They'll call
tomorrow with the test results and we'll see where we go from here.

She yelled for her dinner when we got home, and I gave it to her, even
though it was a little early. She is actually eating, but we'll see how
much she gets down - and if she keeps it down.

Purrs for Lindy to get her appetite back and *keep* it once you're
done with the pills!

Thank you. She ate about 2/3 of the generous serving I gave her. A few
minutes ago, she was crying and heading toward the kitchen, so I gave her a
little more, and she ate most of that. Unfortunately, just now I felt
something damp on the rug I keep under my computer desk, because I like to
take my shoes off, and found a place where she had vomited. It looks like
over half of what she ate earlier. :-(

The doctor didn't mention that as a possibility. She's never had a problem
with them before.

I wonder if it would help to give her a little bit at a time, rather
than a large amount? She might be less likely to vomit that way.

I forget, how old is Lindy? If she's an older cat, it might just be that
her stomach is getting more sensitive. That just seems to be something
that happens to some cats.

Purrs for her to feel better soon!

Over half but not all? This is probably a pretty _good_ result all in
all. WooToo has stomach problems, has had them for many years. Most of
the time she keeps everything down and she eats less during those
periods. Other times, she eats more but puts some back on the floor.
The vet says that she is doing ok.

See how it goes and all may yet be very well. Purrs from all of us.
