Default Hurrah!

The little stinky stray has been captured! He/she's currently still in the
humane trap (in my garage now..), on a pile of newspapers and with some food
in the trap, and I've covered him/her with a sheet. So he/she's in the quiet
and in the dark to give chance to *calm* a bit. Plus he/she's out of the
wind and rain (it's horrible out today). I've phoned PACT and they are
coming to collect the wee one within the hour.

Hurrah!

Thanks for all the purrs

Oh, thank Bast. We got 6 inches of snow last night and I woke up and
thought about the kitty. Had to get up and go look at the four neighborhood
cats that come to my garage when the weather is bad. I have told their
owners they do this and hoped they would take them in. Answers varied from
"they won't come in" to "oh they are used to being out". Well yeah, when
they know they can come here for food and shelter. Makes me mad but, not
mad enough to stop letting them in. Opened the door to the out a bit ago
and had to shovel a bit. Two left but two stayed. One old boy looked up at
me like "Hey Lady, why do you think I cam in here in the first place" Sadie
gives them a wide birth when I take her out.

I hope so too. But I do have a niggling reservation. The wee one was in my
garage for less than an hour when PACT folk arrived. As I opened the garage
door the *stench* from the kitten was a
grasp-you-by-the-throat-and-stop-you-breathing stink. It literally filled
the air of a large double garage. So I'm concerned that whatever it is, it's
not good... I can but hope though.

Thanks for looking out after them.

Sounds like we might have the same neighbors. Frank's people also told
once last winter that he liked to stay out because, with his long
hair, he was too warm inside and the cold doesn't bother him.

Hopefully, our cold snap is about over. The original forecasts said it
would warm up yesterday - it didn't. Right now I'm looking at
weatherbug on my desktop and it says today the low will be 22 and high
of 35 - and that it's 10 degrees now.
