What would you suggest? All you could succeed in doing now is to help Four
suffer in his final days, weeks or maybe if he is real unlucky months. The
people on the front line in this fight have concluded it is over. They are
the ones who have been there for the last months. They brought this cat
some true comfort and happiness at no small cost in effort time money and
perhaps even their own health. No one here is happy at the outcome but
second guessing would only make sense if some of the facts were much
different then they are. I really need to ask if this is in some way about
your mother. I am not trying to be cruel when I ask this (despite the fact
that you _were_ cruel in your first post to this thread) but you seem more
concerned with keeping Four alive than making sure he does not suffer
needlessly.

Yes, Four needs help, and he's getting it. He gets the help to go to the
Bridge in peace instead of having to live a while longer feeling very ill.
Do you really think that someone who's done so much for him would decide
lightly to just let him go now ?
And now you're here, trying to make the people who cared for him feel
terrible about it, more than they already feel, as you try to take away the
feeling that they did the best for him right until the end.

Actually I do not want to prolong Four's pain. I agree that it was best
to let Four go. But this would have never come about if she and her
roommate had not been negligent and gave a **** in the first place. Four
would probably still be alive. I quote the relevant sections from her
final post about Four:

"I found Four collapsed the night of Thursday the 20th on my release and
return home from three days in the hospital. Larry, our roommate, and I
rushed him to the Emergency Vet in Orlando at midnight. The vet there gave
him pain relief medication for an injured leg and Sub Q as he was
dehydrated. Four had not eaten or drunk water while I was gone. The first
day I was in the hospital was apparently the first day he injured his leg
and was then unable to eat and drink water because of the pain."

So where was Larry? Why was no one looking in on Four? Explain this one
away asshole. Four lay collapsed for three days in pain -not eating or
drinking - because of her self-centered mindset, negligence, and lack of
caring. The FIV would most likely not have went full blown if she gave a
****.

People who cared for him? Since when? See the final post from her where
she neglected to have ANYONE check on Four for three days. So they
should feel bad about the way they treated and supposedly cared for
Four. I quote the relevant sections from her final post look at it
yourself in her post if you dare and have the guts to:

You're about to be added to my stinky 'used' litterbox Mister!!
YOU owe Charleen an apology!!!
I MEAN it!!
I am really hissed off at you for being so cruel to Charleen.
Who are YOU to judge someone?
I am so angry with you now... insensitive cretin, you are.
I've got half a mind to send my Mosey over there and

Rich found his mother dead. She died alone and it seems in some twist of
his mind he is blaming himself for not being there. He is also blaming
everyone who was not there when anyone died. He was once treated very
well by a number of people who still post here but since has descended
into this pathologic anger. He needs to make peace with himself before
he stops raging at everyone else.

You need to get help before you do something tragic. Of course, to be
honest, I would rather you do something tragic (to yourself) than
continue to bother people here but then I am not the nicest person on the
planet.

not an American therefore I don't have a gun handy....then again a gun
