Not Enough Litter for the "Study"
They sent me a bag of litter to have Persia try. I didn't over fill the
box (I never do), just started out with an empty, clean box and added as much as usual. Then scoop and re-add a little as usual. The study started on November 8. Today is the 12th. The bag was supposed to last until the 16th. Fail! I don't get to tell them about it until they send me a follow-up link sometime between the 16th and the 18th. Meanwhile, Persia and I are enjoying some lovely weather here in the south. I haven't seen any bluebirds for a day or so (they've moved on) but there are plenty of squirrels for her to chatter at Jill -- The person who rows the boat seldom has time to rock it. |

That hardly seems enough for a "study." MaryL |

That hardly seems enough for a "study." MaryL The litter I usually buy from them comes in a 10 lb. bag. That lasts for a couple of weeks. This bag was tall and slender but probably only contained 5 lbs. of litter. See, I have no way of knowing exactly what they're testing. It's a blind study so I don't know what questions they're going to ask when they send me the link to the survey. Are they trying to make a litter that requires less scooping? Less refilling with a little every day? Less scented? More clumping? (It *does* clump very well.) I have no idea. I just know it only lasted for four days. And that was right *after* completely emptying, washing, drying new liner and put litter in the box. I do not over fill a box. Some of the commercials for kitty litter I see show a box filled with about 4-5 inches of cat litter. I think Persia makes enough of a mess scratching in the box without it being filled to the brim!
