I keep a folded bath towel near me and when Tiger wants to get on my
lap, I place it on my lap first. Tiger is heavy and I know he would
jump off if the phone rings. Without the towel he would surely put some
holes in my leg. He is so used to this that he waits for me to place
the towel before getting on my lap.

Aww.

Boyfie will also jump off my knee if my either of my phone rings, landline
or mobile, or even if I get a text but not with claws. It was that rustle
right beside him that sent him up into the stratosphere.

I think he's had enough of fireworks recently.
Guy Fawkes night is bad enough but Diwali is worse as the fireworks
celebration for that go on longer and the fireworks are so incredibly loud.
I'm not against celebrations with fireworks but I'd like to see it as a
community thing, not having next doors back garden explode near my chickens,
putting them off lay, and be worrying about whether it came down on the hut
and burnt it down during the night.
I have a lot of spent fireworks in my garden now, not exactly raining from
the sky, but it only takes one and I wouldn't even notice it burning if it
landed on my chicken huts with felt roofs as I sleep at the front of the
house.

I can hear fireworks as I speak.

My preference would be that they are banned for home use.
