It's still here. It's not as active as it once was, but you should be
able to see several messages nearly every day.

MaryL

Thanks, Mary L. After weeks of frustration, I found something "checked"
that caused all the trouble. I'm not computer savvy and really didn't
know what to look for. My son was going over item by item on his
computer (guiding me) when I spotted the culprit.

We had a major snow storm a couple of days ago. I had 10 inches here.
My son had 21 inches up where he lives. They had 56 inches at Alta ski
resort. It is warming now and thawing. Best wishes. MLB

Hang in there Matthew! Sounds like great progress, especially with the
diabetes. As for the back arthritis, I can so relate, though mine had
more complication due to spondylosisthesis. I hope I spelled that
right, I sure can't say it. So surgery was my only option. Sorry about
the ankle, too, I just messed mine up during my surgery recovery because
my feet don't work properly yet due to nerve damage. Getting the weight
off is going to help your back and ankle! Keep up the good work!

Purrs on the way that thing go smoothly with the surgery.

Thank Ann.

I lost so much weight so quick and the heavy exercise I do caused the
band to slip simple repair finger crossed. So far 103-107 pounds 18
inches on the waist. Cut my diabetic medication down to just
maintenance doses twice a day 1/10 of my original dosage. Sleep apnea

You have accomplished wonders, and your continued dedication and
determination is inspiring. As my Aussie friends would say, Good onya!
(That's high praise)

Best wishes for the surgery to be simple and your recovery to be quick
and complete.

Joy

( smiling ear to ear ) thank you it is a struggle every day and this
cleansing diet of protein shakes and chicken broth SUCKS big time

I can well believe that. It takes real will power to stick to a diet like
that.

Sending lots of purrs from Sweety for a successful surgery and quick
recovery. Kotyo would send some too, but he's still freaked out that
Sweety smells like the vet, so he's in growling mode right now...

Thanks everyone I do truly appreciate it. Worse part of the whole thing is
arguing with the insurance company and idiot at the hospital. They want me
to pay up front for the surgery about $27,000. I told the guy since when do
people with full coverage insurance pay for it up front when they already
have approval sounds like your are trying to rip me off. Needless to say
the money is still in my pocket

The doctor wants me to wait. He thinks I have peaked in weight loss.
He wants to see if we can get a conversion to a full gastric bypass. Which
now is so simple to do same down time as the lapband. The problem is the
my policy is so old and grandfathered in that no one at the insurance
company can give a straight answer. My policy covers so much that normal
insurance does not cover one reason I am not letting it go. The approval
could take up to 30 days if they approve and if they dont appeals can take
up to 6 months. I dont have the time to wait plus the band needs to be
repositioned. I will not risk possible more problems arising.
I still drive for the transportation company for extra cash. Trying to
be able to go become a substitute teacher during the week. Got to make
plenty of money while I am trying to go back to college again. Over the
thanksgiving holiday it is slow time this coming week. I would have to wait
till mid Jan if that was possible if not it would be June before I could
drop out for recover time. Told the surgeon this afternoon sorry not going
to risk it and have to wait. IF they approve I know what I will have for my
birthday next year if I dont prove everyone wrong by losing a lot more
weight ;-)
