The kitties start to show up on the beach in Hawaii. They are
met by Cleo. " We have huts ready for you. Most have open
porches with hammocks. Some have larger cushions for groups
that want to room together or for doggies. We got the message
that you have some doggie friends and they are welcome here,
too. We cater to all types of animals. Down on the beach
there are surfboards and outriggers. My husband Kalani can
show you how to use them."

Iowna leads the way as Cash follows with a little cart of stuff
for the 3 of them and Daisy-chan brings up the back with a
backpack.

Kalani helps them get settled on a single floor hut with no
stairs after noting Iowna's sore paw still troubles her. He
watches with amusement as Cash and Daisy pluff up the sand so
there's a natural ramp and he adds a woven grass mat she can
feel under her toes as she heads out the front door.


Samwise walks up "Hi, Iowna, I'm glad to see your paw is a little
better. "

Samwise goes to talk with Kalani.

Kalani: We can put out some scent markers for Iowna. Once they are
out I'll bring by samples for her to smell and this way she will
know the way to different points. We have used this method
before. Once everyone is settled in come to the clump of palm
trees on the beach. We are setting up food and drinks.

Hai Samwise! I'z headed to the palm trees anna gonna bake my sore
foot in the sand. Back home, wez got snow almost as tall as me!

Iowna, Da sniffliator


We have lots of snow at our house too. Mommy said the snow is 40
inches deep.

"Iowna I hope the warm sand makes you paw feel better. If you want
some food or drink, just ask and we can get some for you."

Samwise settles down in a hammock with a nip drink. Lucy Lu puts on a
wet suit and Kalani meets her at the edge of the water. " This loop
goes around your paw so you don't loose the surfboard when you fall
off. We will start by having you stand on the board in shallow water
as I hold the board." Lucy Lu steps onto the board and the tips from
side to side. " Put your paws up to help balance." After a few
minutes Lucy Lu is balancing the board and is ready to try some small

" Lay down on the board and paddle out past where the waves break.
When you are ready stand up and the wave will push you toward the
shore." After falling a few time Lucy Lu is surfing.

While Lucy Lu is learning to surf Samwise is telling Iwona about his
fursisters surfing lesson.

Iowna listens intently to the lesson while piling warm sand about her
turning paw. She thinks, she can do this as she doesn't have to use tha
one for more than balance.

She listens intently to see if she can hear where the waves start to
break. Turning head from side to side, she can get a distance feel
about them.

"Samwise, kin aie try? Its a very calm spot anna you kin fish maiself
iffin I falls off anna swim the wrong way but i kin hear the big surf
and swim away frum that".

Cash at the side says nothing but prepares to get wet. If she falls,
he's a strong swimmer, even if he hates getting his toes wet. Then
again, he knows she's the only one who managed to get on top of the dog
house where it's really warm in the sun. He doesnt know how the heck
she did that!

Samwise looks at Cash who is grinning and obviously ready if there is a
problem, and lines Iowna up for a lesson with Lucy Lu.

Regina walks over to great her friend. Lucy lu sees five kittens
following Regina.

"Hi Lucy Lu. We know you figured out who we are and thank you for
letting us be part of your Rt. 66 trip. We are spending a few days here
before we head home. As you can see I had my kittens and cared for them
myself just as I wanted."

" Princess Regina, It is a pleasure to meet you."

Regina laughs and smiles at Lucy Lu. To my friends it's Regina.

" I always thought you were the cats the FBI was looking for. I had to
stop myself from calling you princess a few times. Not many cats travel
with dog body guards. There is plenty of room on the bus. Join us."

downwind of 2 slobering doggies, takes the seat in front of them but
frankly she hangs her head out just like they do... As they drive by
the Ala Moana fishers market, Daisy accidently drools and the dogs
behind her start snickering as they get wetted a bit.

The bus heads ewa to the more obscure areas after the main KingKam
Highway area, lined with a bazillion flowers in bloom.

She walks over to a gardenia bush loaded with fowlers and sniffs again.
She knocks one gardenia off patty-paws it around, then lays down on it
and wriggles as if it were nip.

Once they are out I'll bring by samples for her to
smell and this way she will know the way to different
points. We have used this method before. Once everyone
is settled in come to the clump of palm trees on the
beach. We are setting up food and drinks.

Hai Samwise! I'z headed to the palm trees anna gonna
bake my sore foot in the sand. Back home, wez got snow
almost as tall as me!

Thank you Kalani! (Laughs) just make bacon there and
I'll find it!

Iowna, Da sniffliator


We have lots of snow at our house too. Mommy said the snow
is 40 inches deep.

"Iowna I hope the warm sand makes you paw feel better. If
you want some food or drink, just ask and we can get some
for you."

Samwise settles down in a hammock with a nip drink. Lucy Lu
puts on a wet suit and Kalani meets her at the edge of the
water. " This loop goes around your paw so you don't loose
the surfboard when you fall off. We will start by having
you stand on the board in shallow water as I hold the
board." Lucy Lu steps onto the board and the tips from side
to side. " Put your paws up to help balance." After a few
minutes Lucy Lu is balancing the board and is ready to try
some small waves.

" Lay down on the board and paddle out past where the waves
break. When you are ready stand up and the wave will push
you toward the shore." After falling a few time Lucy Lu is
surfing.

While Lucy Lu is learning to surf Samwise is telling Iwona
about his fursisters surfing lesson.

Iowna listens intently to the lesson while piling warm sand
about her turning paw. She thinks, she can do this as she
doesn't have to use tha one for more than balance.

She listens intently to see if she can hear where the waves
start to break. Turning head from side to side, she can get a
distance feel about them.

"Samwise, kin aie try? Its a very calm spot anna you kin fish
maiself iffin I falls off anna swim the wrong way but i kin
hear the big surf and swim away frum that".

Cash at the side says nothing but prepares to get wet. If she
falls, he's a strong swimmer, even if he hates getting his
toes wet. Then again, he knows she's the only one who managed
to get on top of the dog house where it's really warm in the
sun. He doesnt know how the heck she did that!

Samwise looks at Cash who is grinning and obviously ready if
there is a problem, and lines Iowna up for a lesson with Lucy
Lu.



After the surfing lessons Kalani has arranged a tour of the
Island. "Most think Hawaii and think of beaches but we have a
lot of other things to see here. There are beautiful rain
forests and plants and animals you will not see any where else.
Iowna we have a talking tape if you would like to listen to it
on the ride. It will help you know where we are and what is
around you. We will be making several stops and getting off the
tour bus so you can sniff things and feel them. I hope this
will make the tour enjoyable for you."

They all get on the tour bus and find seats.

Iowna snags a prized seat where she can tuck her nose over the
side and still hear the narration on everything passing by that
she's sniffing. Cash who is big enough to sit on the floor and
stand up with his nose perched next to Iowna's, grins.
Daisy-chan who knows better than to be downwind of 2 slobering
doggies, takes the seat in front of them but frankly she hangs
her head out just like they do... As they drive by the Ala Moana
fishers market, Daisy accidently drools and the dogs behind her
start snickering as they get wetted a bit.

The bus heads ewa to the more obscure areas after the main KingKam
Highway area, lined with a bazillion flowers in bloom.


They can smell the flowers before they see them. Gardenia as far as
they can see.The driver pulls over in a parking area. " Lets get
off here and take a walk around. There are paths to walk among the
flowers. "

Pit2nya hops down, raises her nose and sniffs...
She walks over to a gardenia bush loaded with fowlers and sniffs
again. She knocks one gardenia off patty-paws it around, then lays
down on it and wriggles as if it were nip.

Iowna and Cash step off the bus and stop amazed. Iowna turns back and
whispers to the driver that a short nap would be really nice? She nods
and Iowna runs to the back of the bus and grabs her litte bed. It used
to be Daisy's but she took it over for her sore legs years ago and
Daisy doenst mind. Getting back to the steps, Cash helps her down then
they find a bush and curl up for a nap.

As soft purrs mix, if your look closely, doggie noses are sniffng and
every now and again, legs seem to shift as if they were chasing a
butterfly.

Daisy-chan drifts to a nap, dreaming of Orien (rb) bringing her a
flower.

The kitties start to show up on the beach in Hawaii. They are met by
Cleo. " We have huts ready for you. Most have open porches with
hammocks. Some have larger cushions for groups that want to room
together or for doggies. We got the message that you have some doggie
friends and they are welcome here, too. We cater to all types of
animals. Down on the beach there are surfboards and outriggers. My
husband Kalani can show you how to use them."

Iowna leads the way as Cash follows with a little cart of stuff for the
3 of them and Daisy-chan brings up the back with a backpack.

Kalani helps them get settled on a single floor hut with no stairs
after noting Iowna's sore paw still troubles her. He watches with
amusement as Cash and Daisy pluff up the sand so there's a natural ramp
and he adds a woven grass mat she can feel under her toes as she heads
out the front door.


Samwise walks up "Hi, Iowna, I'm glad to see your paw is a little better. "

Samwise goes to talk with Kalani.

Kalani: We can put out some scent markers for Iowna. Once they are out I'll

Mosey heads over to the buffet and helps himself to some yummy foods and
drinks, and _hopes_ some single girl cats
will join him. "I know how to treat a lady cats right," Mosey says.
"But now that I am _almost_ 13 years old, I wonder if _any_ woman cats
/girlcats will like me enough to join me.
Mosey sighs and sits down to eat, and hope.
