Default Meowmie and the BOY are sick.....

At least that is the conclusion by the cat committee.

Meowmie spent ALL of Sunday and ALL of Monday and ALL of today in
bed. She has a wet nose and keeps sticking the butt probe in her
mouth. Ewww!!!!

I played nurse cat for a while. But Meowmie said it hurt when I
meatloafed on her chest. And she kept shivering, even when I snuggled
up to keep her warm.

Then I went to ask the BOY for snuggles. The BOY was all curled up on
the couch, and he was making hacking noises. Mischief said he must
have a hairball in his throat, but so far has failed to produce one.
I find this hard to believe since the boy doesn't lick himself, but
Mischief is SO sure she is right. Why else would he be making hacking
noises?

But the good thing out of this is on Monday we managed to get TWO
breakfasts. YAY!! Didn't work this morning though... Mischief has
been trying to mooch Meowmie yummy chicken water, but so far hasn't
been successful.

Purrs for my Meowmie to stop her wet nose and feeling all achy and for
the BOY to hack up his hairball.

Mayhem

****************

I hate the flu.....

The BF blames me for giving it to him, since he just has a fever and a
hacking cough, which i have the runny nose, hacking cough, fever, body
aches and chills.

I remember when I gave him the thermometer he asked, "Did you use this
on the cats?" sheesh....

It's so hard to try to sleep when you ache all over or have the
chills. Harumph.....and yes in our sickness and delirium, we both fed
the cats breakfast on Monday. They were quite happy.

Mischief is mad that I'm not sharing any chicken soup with her and
Mayhem keeps insisting that whiskers up my nose will stop it from
running.

But at one point i woke up all shivering, and noticed that all three
of them were curled up on the bed. Was it because i had the electric
blanket cranked to level 5? or were all trying to be nurse cats.
Hmmm.....

urgh....time to go back to bed....

I think Mischief is right about the hairball; our meowmie has been
sounding like a TIGER with a hairball herself for weeks. Very weird,
for a furless hoomin and she produces NOTHING. We are mystified. But
of course, we snuggle up and keep her company when she lets herself
take naps. She's not as sick as you got--she only had a little fever
at first, and called in sick only one day. We wish she'd spend more
time in bed as she mades a very nice heater.

Purrs that your Meowmie and BF feel better and are ready to be proper
slaves again soon.

Francesca and Nina.

YOu have my sympathy, Kristi--I just have the cough that refuses to
die, but didn't get the bad fever, aches and chills. Francesca and
Nina have been good nurses, although they truly can't understand my
failure to produce any hairballs. But for a while I was coughing hard
enough to wake myself up. It's been quite miserable enough, but it's
very sensible of you to stay home and rest.

Purrs for the humans in your household to feel better soon. That doesn't
sound like any fun. And watch out for cats who take advantage of illness-
addled human brains!

Hope you're feeling better I had it over the weekend and haven't been
into work this week yet (Going back tomorrow fingers crossed!). I
just felt so washed out, Sunday I was in bed by 8.45, got up at 7.30
Monday to call in sick then crawled back to bed and slept until Dave
got up at 10.30 so I had some juice and went back to sleep, woke up at
12.35! Felt okay enough to go pay some bills and do some shopping- I
hadn't been out of the house since Friday and as I normally do the big
weekly shop at the weekend - we were down to some stale biscuits and
the cats had no dry food ! Don't know how I managed it all but did-
came home, assured the cats we had dry food
so could they stop considering me the next item on the menu? Fell
asleep for a few hours then managed to stare at the telly before
crawling off to bed as I had an interview this morning!

It's been a bad year for colds and flu I usually have a couple of mild
one's but I've had some stinkers this year! Then again so has
everyone else!

Tissue manufacturer are bucking the economic trends for sure!

both of us are feeling better but we're still both coughing. Also in
the middle of the night i got the chills again so I didn't sleep very
well. I just surfaced and i've slept almost 10 hours but i'm still
really drained. ugh...

but the cats tell me under no circumstances am I excused from slave
duties.
