Default Update: Blind kitty is home

Well! We didn't expect it would go this fast. This afternoon, my DH went
to take a cat carrier liberally sprayed with Feliway to go sit on the
front stoop of my son's house, in hopes of getting UBK (Unnamed Blind
Kitty) used to it.

A short while later, he called. "I've got her!" (We *think* it's a her.
Not real sure yet.) I scurried about setting up the room she'll live in
for the nonce (it's where my working desk is, so she will have company
large chunks of the time).

He said she yelled a couple times, then settled right down. Feliway is
magic...

Right now, she has not yet come out of the carrier, but is facing out and
the door is open. There is a bowl of crunchies just outside the door to
tempt her.

Wish us luck! And hope she tells us her name one of these days :-)

First of all, I hope you caught the "right" kitty! (Sounds like there are a
lot of ferals being fed at your son's apartment complex.) Secondly, YAY!
I'm glad you decided to adopt her. It was really a done deal or you
wouldn't have posted about her before you did Don't worry, she'll tell
you her name in due time.

That is great! Our little one, who is sighted, came to us about a month
ago. we handled her a lot and talked to her a lot. We feel it really helped
with the acclimation. She was about eight months old at that time. Now she
is bossing the other cats around and trying to run the house! We're purring
for great success for you and you kitty.

Thank your for taking in this unfortunate kitty.

I hope she settles down soon, and begins enjoying the benefits of being
a pampered kitty.
