New batteries for the red dot greebling!

The Calli-kitty has, since we've gotten her, really loved playing
with the red dot greebling. She knows what makes it, and what
drawer the laser pointer is in, and the sound the chain on the
end of it makes when we get it out of the drawer. If she wants to
play and the lp is sitting on the desk, she will knock it to the
floor, even going so far as to pry it out from under the edge of
a pile of papers to do so. (Mind, she came with a bag of toys
that we were assured she LOVED and played with ALL the TIME!
mousies and crinkly balls and so on. Has she played with any of
them? Nooooo. Red dot greebling, feather-onna-stick, or nothing,
for her.)

Anyway, we knew the batteries were getting low on the lp long
before Calli-kitty showed up. Finally, yesterday, DH picked up
three new ones* and replaced them in the pointer.

Oh my!! The red dot is SO much brighter! and Calli-kitty won't
leave us alone now! She wants to play All The Time. Silly cat.
She is so adorable chasing it up and down the hallway, along the
walls and trying to figure out where it went. Although she is
smart enough to know to come and sit at the feet of whoever was
using it until they turn it on again. (Generally meowing as
though her heart were broken, all the while.) She wags her tail
like a dog's while she is chasing. Toooo cute.

Pretty soon, I think we will be able to get her to make backflips
and somersaults. :-)
