Default storing a live fur coat

My husband has started refinishing the door on our living room closet.
Yesterday Max took advantage of the open door and went exploring in the
closet. He was in there a long time, so my husband decided to check on him.

Good thing! Max had managed to get inside one of the vinyl garment bags -
which was still zipped tight. My husband unzipped the bag, and Max emerged,
fine - thank goodness.

I inspected the bag and discovered a long tear on the back. Either the
vinyl had split from age, or Max had made his own opening (I suspect the
latter).

Just one more thing to be careful about when it comes to cats.

I have got to get my eyes checked.
I thought the subject was stroking a live fur coat.
